The Ukrainian Catholic University has initiated the creation of a scholarship fund in honour of Yevheniia, Yaryna, Daria and Emilia Bazylevych, who were killed in the Russian shelling of Lviv. The initiative was launched at the suggestion of the girls’ father, Yaroslav Bazylevych, and in cooperation with the Plast organisation.
The fundraising goal is $100,000. The funds will be used to support talented students who need financial assistance to continue their education.
‘The creation of such a fund will allow us to perpetuate the memory of the dead girls and support young people who want to get an education,’ said Natalia Klymovska, Vice-Rector for Development and Communications of UCU.
The university invites all those who care to join the charitable initiative and support the creation of the scholarship fund.
