As of 13 September, 1,038 companies and 167 individual entrepreneurs have already joined the National Cashback programme, which provides consumers with a 10% refund for purchases of Ukrainian goods. The programme is aimed at stimulating the domestic market and supporting domestic producers, according to Opendatabot.
Leaders by industry and region
Among the programme’s participants, the largest number of companies are from the food production (326), retail (175) and wholesale (146) sectors. This demonstrates the active participation of key sectors of the economy in supporting national producers.

Kyiv (231 companies), Dnipro (112) and Lviv (96) are the geographical leaders, reflecting the economic activity of these regions. The smallest number of participants came from the frontline regions, which is due to the objective difficulties of doing business in these areas.
Participation of companies with a Russian footprint
Despite the positive dynamics, the programme has faced some challenges. In particular, three of the companies on the list of participants had Russian owners at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, but have now got rid of them.
However, one company from Lviv region, which produces furniture, is still owned by a Russian citizen. Last year, its revenue was over UAH 180 million and its net profit was over UAH 10 million. This year, the company won 2 state tenders worth over UAH 914 thousand.
