What support can people evacuated from dangerous areas receive?

Evacuation from dangerous regions of Ukraine is carried out by rail and road transport, and special transport may be used if necessary. To ensure the safety and comfort of evacuees, a number of social guarantees are provided. This information is reported by the Ministry of Reintegration.

Social guarantees provided:

  • Free food and humanitarian aid during evacuation.
  • Restoration of lost documents.
  • Temporary shelter in hubs for internally displaced persons.
  • Qualified psychological and medical assistance.
  • Financial aid from international organizations.
  • Free accommodation in state and municipal facilities, and, if necessary, in social-medical institutions.
  • State financial assistance for living expenses for internally displaced persons (IDPs).
  • Assistance with employment.
  • Priority enrollment in preschool and educational institutions with free meals.
  • Assistance with providing solid fuel for the heating season 2024-2025.

These measures are designed to support internally displaced persons and meet their basic needs during their adaptation in receiving communities.
