Recently, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution titled “On Amendments to the Procedure for Subsidized Mortgage Lending for Internally Displaced Persons Funded by Grants Provided by the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW).”
According to the resolution, several changes are being made to the Procedure for Subsidized Mortgage Lending for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) regarding the verification of:
- The applicant’s income;
- The ownership of housing by the applicant and their family members;
- Any instances where the applicant or their family members have received subsidized loans or corresponding monetary compensation for the construction (purchase) of housing from budget funds.
Currently, IDPs can submit an application for a subsidized mortgage loan in person to the regional offices of the State Youth Housing Agency. This mechanism will remain in effect until the corresponding service is restored on the Diia Portal.
We have previously reported that the World Bank has approved a new project to finance Ukraine’s education system for $415 million.
