The International Damage Registry has been expanded with 4 new claim categories – now those who lost access to medical care or education due to war can seek compensation.

Category A4.1 concerns loss of access to medical care – when a person could not receive treatment for an extended period due to destroyed medical facilities or lack of doctors.

Category A4.2 covers loss of access to education due to damage to the institution, occupation, danger to life, or lack of distance learning.

Category A2.10 “other violations of international law” includes cases outside other categories – restrictions on access to humanitarian aid, water, heating or electricity, forced registration of Russian citizenship, use of civilians as “human shields”.

Category A3.7 “other economic losses” refers to loss of material support due to death or disappearance of a close person, costs of treatment or burial, loss of movable property or sole proprietorship assets.

To file a claim, you need to:

  • authorize yourself in “Diia”;
  • open the “Reparations: International Damage Registry” section;
  • choose a category;
  • fill out the form and submit it – the claim automatically goes to the International Damage Registry.
