DAAD opened the application period for a scholarship program for studying master’s programmes in Germany – students from Ukrainian universities and bachelor graduates can benefit from it.
The monthly scholarship amounts to €992 and covers living expenses. Participants will also receive a one‑time payment of €460 for textbooks, library subscriptions or conference tickets, reimbursement for travel to and from Germany, medical insurance, and, if needed, a German language course and compensation for TestDaF or DSH exam costs.
In some cases the scholarship includes additional payments for housing rent and support for family members traveling with the scholarship holder.
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in any field except arts and architecture, be enrolling in a state‑accredited German university, and be proficient in the language of instruction. The bachelor’s degree must have been obtained no earlier than six years ago.
Students already enrolled in a master’s programme in Ukraine can use the scholarship to spend one to two years in Germany. The programme supports master’s courses lasting from 10 to 24 months.
Applications are accepted until 16 November 2026 at 23:59 Kyiv time via the DAAD online portal. The scholarship does not cover tuition fees if the chosen programme is paid.
