The Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Ukraine has opened a competitive selection for the Sur Place scholarship program for students of Ukrainian universities for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The scholarship is 180 euros per month and will be paid for 11 months to finance studies in Ukraine. Scholarship holders will also attend 3 educational seminars aimed at improving the level of socio-political and professional knowledge, as well as participate in other foundation events.
Citizens of Ukraine who will be studying for a master’s or postgraduate degree in humanities, social sciences, journalism, international relations, or law at any higher education institution in Ukraine in September 2026 can apply. The foundation especially encourages students from the eastern and southern regions of the country to apply.
Among the requirements for candidates are a willingness to stay in Ukraine during the scholarship period, high academic achievement, and active public activity. Proficiency in English or German at a high level is also required.
To participate in the competition, you need to fill out the google form and send a complete package of documents according to the instructions by August 10, 2026.
The foundation warns that motivational letters written with the help of artificial intelligence will not be considered.
After verifying the documents, the foundation will invite selected candidates for an interview, which will take place in September 2026 at the Kyiv office or online in English or German. The start of the scholarship program is scheduled for September 2026.
