In the Polish city of Wroclaw, a group of men carried out an attack on a Ukrainian couple. The reason for the unmotivated aggression was the Ukrainian accent of the young people. The mother of the injured girl, Karina Kitsay, reported the details of the incident. Three attackers intercepted the couple on the street. They brutally beat the young man with their feet, and the girl received several strong blows while trying to protect him. The perpetrators disappeared from the crime scene before the arrival of law enforcement.

The victims received serious injuries. Doctors stitched the girl’s neck. Medics suspect the presence of a brain injury in both Ukrainians.

The Ukrainian Consulate in Wroclaw promptly responded to the incident. On the instructions of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiha, diplomats sent an official request to the competent authorities of the National Police of Poland. The representatives of the diplomatic establishment demand a swift investigation into the attack, the establishment of the true motives of the crime, and the bringing of the guilty to severe responsibility in accordance with Polish legislation.

Diplomats record a disturbing trend of increasing cases of violence and aggression against Ukrainian citizens on the territory of Poland.
