The ‘Dobrobut’ medical network, with the support of the Ukrainian Ministry of Veterans’ Affairs and Veteran Hub, has launched a new intake for free training for veteran medical professionals as part of the ‘Medical Education for Heroes’ project.
The initiative is aimed at medical professionals who saved lives on the front line and is designed to help them refresh their knowledge, gain a new qualification and return to civilian medical practice.
Last year, the project received 69 applications from military medical personnel from all regions of Ukraine. This year, 20 male and female veterans with medical qualifications will be able to undertake training free of charge at the ‘Dobrobut Academy’.
The course is open to doctors and nurses. It is delivered in a blended format – combining online and face-to-face sessions in Kyiv at the Dobrobut Academy – and lasts an average of three months.
Participants choose their medical specialism individually, based on their own experience and needs.
