DAAD has opened the application process for scholarships for bachelor’s degree holders in fine arts, design, visual communications, and film who wish to continue their education in Germany.
The scholarship includes a monthly payment of 992 euros, reimbursement of travel expenses, medical insurance, and educational materials. If necessary, participants will receive a German language course and compensation for TestDaF or DSH exam fees.
The program supports admission to a master’s or postgraduate program, or an additional course without a degree. Master’s and postgraduate programs can last from 10 to 24 months, and additional courses can last 1 academic year.
Eligible to apply are graduates who:
- received their bachelor’s degree no more than 6 years ago;
- are admitted to a state or state-accredited university;
- have a language proficiency level confirmed by a certificate.
The scholarship does not cover tuition fees if the chosen program is paid.
The application includes a resume, a motivation letter of up to three pages, a diploma with an appendix or transcript, a language certificate, and a portfolio of works – a link to which is provided by DAAD. All documents must be submitted in PDF format with a translation into English or German.
The application period runs until October 15, 2026, at 23:59 Kyiv time, and documents can be submitted through the DAAD online portal. The scholarship will start on October 1, 2027.
