Parliament appoints new Cabinet of Ministers without Defense and Foreign Ministries

  • The Ministry of Internal Affairs is headed by Ivan Vyhivsky, who previously headed the National Police, and the Ministry of Digital Transformation is headed by Oksana Ferchuk.

Parliament appointed a new Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, led by Serhiy Kuretsky – 264 people’s deputies voted for the corresponding decision.

The positions of Minister of Defense and Minister of Foreign Affairs will be considered separately – the submission of these candidates is within the powers of the President of Ukraine.

Before the vote, the candidates for members of the government were presented by the newly appointed Prime Minister Serhiy Kuretsky:

  • Denys Shmyhal remains the First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Energy;
  • Tetiana Berezna becomes the Vice Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister of Culture;
  • Vsevolod Chentsov becomes the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs is headed by Ivan Vyhivsky, who previously headed the National Police, and Oksana Ferchuk becomes the Minister of Digital Transformation.

The previous government, led by Yuliia Svyrydenko, resigned on July 14.
