During stabilization power outages, the use of generators, gas appliances, and candles becomes relevant. The State Emergency Service (SES) reminds you of the fire safety rules to follow to prevent fires:
- Generators should be installed outdoors. To protect the device from precipitation, use special canopies that do not obstruct ventilation. Regularly check and maintain the generator according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Gas burners should only be used outdoors, and you should check the cylinder for integrity before use. Purchase such devices only from certified and licensed sellers.
- Place candles away from flammable materials on a stable surface, and do not burn them completely; leave a stub of 2-3 cm.
- The Diia app also features a map of Resilience Points, where you can find constant light, water, and internet.
Be cautious and responsible! In case of an emergency, call 101.
