Ukrainian Red Cross paid over UAH 60 million to residents of front-line areas in June

5,174 people received assistance. Payments are made according to priorities – funds are directed to evacuees, households whose homes have been damaged or destroyed as a result of hostilities, as well as vulnerable population groups.

Vulnerable groups include:

  • the elderly;
  • people with disabilities;
  • large families;
  • single parents and guardians;
  • households that need primary support.

The program operates in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions.

The program is implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross with the support of the US Government, the Norwegian Red Cross, the Danish Red Cross, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
