The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to fund cybersecurity training for 2,000 people with Group I and II disabilities, including male and female veterans.
The pilot project was developed by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity. It will begin on 1 August 2026 and run for two years.
Currently, less than 18 per cent of people with Group I and II disabilities are in employment in Ukraine; among them are male and female veterans who are returning to civilian life following injuries and require new opportunities for professional fulfilment.
We have deliberately chosen the field of cyber security, as it currently combines high demand for specialists, competitive pay and a wide range of working arrangements.

The main aim of the project and a prerequisite for state funding is to ensure that people with disabilities find employment after completing their training.
The project will also include psychological support for participants throughout the training period.
