As a result of another massive missile and drone attack by Russia on objects of the civilian energy infrastructure, new power outages appeared in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions on the morning of July 6, according to Ukrenergo. Restoration work has already begun where safety conditions permit.
Due to bad weather – a thunderstorm and gusts of wind – 58 settlements in the Sumy region were left without power. Repair teams from oblenenergo are already restoring damaged power lines.
Electricity consumption is showing a downward trend. As of 09:30 on July 6, it was 13.8% lower than at the same time on the previous working day – Friday, July 3. The reason is a significant decrease in air temperature in all regions, which reduces the need for air conditioners.
On July 5, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening – it was 8.7% lower than the maximum of the previous Sunday, June 28, due to the heat wave.
It is advisable to use powerful electrical appliances during the period of most effective operation of industrial solar power plants – from 10:00 to 16:00.
