The grant programme ‘Discovering What We Share: Memory, Stories and Cultural Heritage’ has been launched as part of the REHERIT 2.0 project. Grant amounts range from 10,000 to 30,000 euros.
Communities and organisations that research, preserve or develop multicultural heritage are eligible to submit a project. This includes initiatives related to the research and interpretation of heritage, or its preservation and development – ranging from preliminary research to the restoration of small-scale sites.
Applications are open to those working in the fields of heritage, local history, museum studies, urban planning or education.
The competition is open to legal entities or sole traders with relevant experience in this field.
Applications are submitted in two stages. First, participants submit a project concept, after which the organisers select 20 projects, the authors of which then submit a full application.
Proposals must be submitted by 30 July 2026. The winners of the competition will be announced in November, and participants will carry out their projects throughout 2027.
The programme is being implemented by the Centre for Urban History and the ‘Regional Development’ Centre of the PPV Economic Development Agency, with financial support from the European Union.
