As a result of the enemy attack on the Kyiv Zoo grounds, turtles and crocodiles were injured by the blast wave. No animals were killed, all are safe.
Zoo staff, who look after the animals round the clock, immediately provided the necessary assistance to the affected animals.
Within the zoo grounds, the buildings housing the primates and birds, the winter garden dome, the aquaterrarium and the hay store have been damaged. The northern entrance area and the exotic plants in the winter garden have also been affected.
The northern entrance area and the zoo car park are temporarily closed.
Entry to KyivZoo is currently via the Main Entrance. The rest of the grounds remain open as usual.
