Some of them have only a few days left to use the funds: for those who received the money before May 1, the deadline for using it is June 30, 2026, inclusive. The unused amount after this date is automatically returned to the state budget.

What is “Health Screening 40+”
The program is based on the Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution of December 10, 2025, No. 1652, and is aimed at early detection of diseases that develop unnoticed for a long time. After the age of 40, the risk of cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic disorders increases, and screening allows you to see changes in the body before symptoms appear. The examination takes place in one visit to a medical institution, and based on the results, the doctor provides personal recommendations for further steps.
Who Can Participate
Any Ukrainian citizen who has turned 40 can use the program, regardless of their place of registration or actual residence. Assistance is provided once a year. Access to the program has been simplified: an application can be submitted at any time after the 40th birthday, without prior waiting. The number of participants is limited by budget capabilities, so the National Health Service determines the maximum number of people, and if the limit is reached, the acceptance of applications is temporarily suspended with a corresponding notification in the application.

How Much Money Does the State Provide and What Can Be Spent
A participant receives 2000 hryvnias in non-cash form. The money is credited to the Diia card within seven days after applying and has exclusively targeted use — payment for screening services in a medical institution. It is impossible to withdraw them in cash, transfer to third-party accounts, or spend on other needs. If the Diia card is already open, there is no need to fill out a new one.

What the Examination Includes
Screening covers analyzes that show hidden changes in the body. These include a lipid profile to assess the risk of atherosclerosis, a test for glycated hemoglobin, which reflects the average glucose level over three months and detects prediabetes, electrolyte analysis, determination of creatinine with calculation of glomerular filtration rate to assess kidney function, and the ratio of albumin to creatinine in urine. The doctor also checks heart function, sugar levels, and mental health. Based on the results, the person receives a conclusion and recommendations for prevention or further treatment.
Where to Undergo Screening
The examination is available in more than 2,200 medical institutions across the country. The network covers almost all regions, making it possible to find an institution near your place of residence. What Happens to Unspent Money
Money that the participant did not manage to use within the allotted time is canceled and automatically returned to the state budget. For those who received the payment before May 1, this date falls on June 30, after which it is no longer possible to use the 2000 hryvnias. It is not possible to reapply within the same calendar year, as assistance is provided once a year.
