Kyiv has paid UAH 190 million in material assistance to residents whose homes were damaged or destroyed by Russian attacks since the beginning of 2026. So far, 6,793 Kyiv residents have received support.
Assistance is provided under the city’s targeted program “Care. Towards Kyiv residents”. Depending on the degree of damage, residents can receive a one-time payment of UAH 10,000 or UAH 40,000.
The city also provides monthly payments of UAH 20,000 for rent for those whose homes have become uninhabitable. Currently, 111 people are receiving such assistance, and another 140 applications are being reviewed.
A significant portion of the funds was paid out after the massive Russian attacks in the spring and summer. After the shelling on the night of May 24, 1,365 residents applied for assistance, and 1,294 people received payments totaling over UAH 19 million.
After the attack on June 2, 1,080 people applied for assistance, and 1,032 people received payments totaling over UAH 10.6 million. After the attack on the night of June 15, 514 residents applied, and 224 people received payments totaling UAH 2.24 million.
Most applications for assistance after the recent attacks came from residents of the Golosiivskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Solomianskyi districts.
Applications for a payment of UAH 20,000 are submitted through the Kyiv administrative service centers, and for one-time assistance of UAH 10,000 and UAH 40,000 – through the district state administrations.
