Veterans with complete or partial vision loss will be able to receive up to UAH 95,000 for household appliances and assistive devices. Support will be provided under a joint project of the Ukrainian Red Cross and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers’ Resolution No. 674 of May 27, 2026.

The application process will begin on July 1, 2026, and will last until July 31, inclusive. Participants in combat operations and persons with disabilities due to war who lost their sight while defending Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity can submit documents.

Assistance will be provided regardless of whether the veteran receives other types of state or international support.

The application can be submitted to the structural subdivision for veterans’ policy at the place of registered residence – in person, by mail, or in electronic form. Internally displaced persons apply for actual place of residence in accordance with the certificate of registration.

Funds can only be spent on equipment from a specified list. Available products include:

  • smartphones with voice assistants;
  • laptops with screen reading programs;
  • medical devices with audio output of results;
