Key points

The Ukrainian Association for Women’s History Studies has opened an electronic library that has collected scientific works on Ukrainian women’s and gender history in one place.

The collection includes monographs – both authored and collective, collections of scientific works, chapters from collective publications, articles in academic journals, and dissertations. The most comprehensive collection of scientific works by the association’s members is presented here.

The chronological scope of the works spans the period from the times of Rus’ to the events of the Euromaidan. The texts are available in Ukrainian and in foreign languages – primarily English, as well as Polish and German.

The key themes of the library are women’s everyday life, public activism, corporeality and sexuality, legal status and gender policy, women’s movement, as well as experiences of migration, wars, and genocides.

The search function in the collection works by author, topic, or period. Most texts are available for free, while some publications may be paid.

The bibliography is supplemented with new items on a regular basis – announcements appear in the “News” section and on the association’s social media.
