PrivatBank has transferred 2 million UAH for the restoration of the National Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Historical and Cultural Reserve, which was damaged as a result of a Russian strike on Kyiv on the night of June 15. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
In addition to direct assistance, the bank has opened a charity collection to allow everyone to contribute to the restoration of one of the most significant shrines and cultural heritage sites in Ukraine.
In a time when the Russian Federation is striking our cultural heritage, the support of international and private partners is of particular importance. The Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is one of the main shrines of Ukraine and a world-renowned landmark. The restoration of such objects is our shared responsibility to future generations.

The Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is under enhanced international protection in accordance with the Second Protocol to the 1954 Hague Convention.
As a result of the attack on June 15, the Assumption Cathedral was damaged, as well as several museum and cultural objects on the territory of the reserve.
