In Kharkiv, as a result of a Russian drone strike, a fire broke out on the zoo’s territory, and several animals died, reported the State Emergency Service.

On June 15, Russians launched two drone strikes on the Shevchenkivskyi and Khолодnohirskyi districts of the city.

One of the ‘shaheds’ fell on the zoo’s territory – between the Vivarium, where rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals live, the administrative building, and the Elephant House. A fire broke out in the enclosure due to the hit.

The fire was quickly extinguished by the fire and rescue service units.

Rescuers and psychologists from the State Emergency Service, along with employees of the National Police and zoo workers, evacuated the vivarium building. All large animals survived.
