Ukrainian Red Cross paid out almost 95 million UAH to residents of frontline communities

During April-May 2026, the Ukrainian Red Cross provided financial assistance to 7,896 people in frontline and war-affected communities – the total amount of payments was 94,798,790.5 UAH.

Support was received by residents of communities within 50 km from the front line from the most socially vulnerable categories:

  • people with disabilities of groups I and II;
  • parents of children with disabilities;
  • single mothers and fathers;
  • lone pensioners;
  • households consisting only of elderly people;
  • large families.

Evacuees also received assistance.

Recipients themselves decide how to spend the funds – depending on their own needs and circumstances.

The program is implemented with the support of the US Government, the Danish Red Cross, the Norwegian Red Cross, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
