In late June, a literary evening “Clean Sheet” is planned in Kyiv, dedicated to the memory of poets who died in the war between Russia and Ukraine. This was reported by the “Undocumented” project.

The initiator of the event is poet, organizer of artistic events and author of excursions around Kyiv, Yuriy Chaban. The event is planned to be held outdoors – on the stairs near the National Museum of the History of Ukraine.

The organizers have already determined the name and concept of the evening and are now looking for those who want to join in its preparation and conduct. The program includes readings of works by deceased poets.

The organizers hope that “Clean Sheet” will become not a one-time event, but a regular practice of memory.

The event is supported by the “Undocumented” project – an initiative that documents Ukraine’s cultural losses in the war. Its founders are writer and paramedic of the “Hospitallers” battalion Olena Herasymyuk and writer and military man Yevhen Lir.

They began compiling a list of deceased writers in the spring of 2023 – then it included 48 names. As of March 2025, 239 names have been added to the list.
