115,000 Ukrainians have undergone examinations under the national “Health Screening 40+” program – since its launch, over 800,000 applications have been submitted. This was reported by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.
The program is aimed at people over 40 years old and allows for a free assessment of the risks of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and mental health problems – even before the appearance of serious symptoms.
During the examination, the participant:
- undergoes laboratory tests;
- measures blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, and waist circumference;
- completes a health status questionnaire;
- receives personal recommendations.
If necessary, the doctor refers the patient for additional diagnostics.
The service is free of charge: after submitting an application, the state allocates UAH 2,000 for the examination. It can be done in state, communal, and private medical institutions in different regions of Ukraine.
Those who received funds before May 1, 2026, must complete the examination and settle the account for it by June 30, inclusive – after this date, unused funds will be returned to the state budget.
If the funds were received after May 1, they must be used within two months from the moment of accrual.
