The National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) created a “Guide for Veterans: Medical Guarantees 2026 in Simple Words” – a guide to state-guaranteed medical services and routes for obtaining them.
It contains explanations regarding:
- primary, outpatient, and inpatient medical care;
- treatment of war injuries and their consequences;
- rehabilitation after amputations;
- psychological and psychiatric support;
- dentistry and dental prosthetics;
- medication;
- long-term medical care.
The guide also includes information on assistance for cardiovascular, oncological, and other diseases, as well as an algorithm of actions in case of violation of patient rights.
The guide is intended for veterans and their family members, as well as for professionals who consult the veteran community on obtaining medical services.
