The government has extended the compensation period from 60 to 90 days for institutions that host internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have lost documents due to the war. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliya Svyrydenko.
The possibilities for confirming the fact of damage or destruction of housing have also been expanded: now a remote inspection report can be used for this purpose.
The compensation system will become more transparent. In the electronic cabinet of the Pension Fund, information about the appointment of compensation, reasons for refusal, calculation of its size, and accrued payments will be displayed.
A separate decision by the government has determined the procedure and conditions for providing subsidies from the state budget for housing for family-type children’s homes. Priority will be given to families who have been evacuated due to the war, lost their home, or are returning to Ukraine from abroad.
UAH 833 million has been allocated in the State Budget for 2026 for these needs.
