Over 2,500 reports of damaged housing received through Diia in the last day

Key points

  • Over the past day, after new Russian attacks, more than 2,500 reports of damaged or destroyed property were received through Diia.
  • Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Register has recorded over 340,000 destroyed objects – more than 298,000 of them are residential buildings.
  • The most affected are Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
  • Owners of non-privatized housing or without records in the register of property rights are actually deprived of access to compensation under the eVidnovlennya program.
  • The government has supported changes to the law on privatization of the state housing stock – the document has been submitted for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada.

Over the past day, after new Russian attacks, Ukrainians submitted through the Diia app and portal more than 2,500 reports of damaged or destroyed property. In particular, over 400 reports were received from Kyiv residents, over 100 from Dnipro residents.

According to the Register of damaged and destroyed property, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 340,000 damaged and destroyed objects have been recorded in Ukraine. More than 298,000 of them are residential buildings, the rest are engineering structures, social facilities, industrial enterprises, and critical infrastructure objects.

The most affected by Russian aggression are Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

A separate problem is housing that has not been privatized or whose ownership rights have not been entered into the State Register of Property Rights: its owners are actually deprived of access to compensation mechanisms under the eVidnovlennya program.

Local authorities are recommended to strengthen their work with the State Registration Service and state registrars to accelerate the processing of documents.

To solve this problem, the Government has supported the proposal of the Ministry of Development to amend the Law of Ukraine “On Privatization of State Housing Stock” – to simplify the privatization of damaged or destroyed housing and determine the procedure for actions in cases where it has become emergency due to hostilities or sabotage. The relevant changes have been submitted for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada.
