On June 4-5, a training workshop “Barrier-Free Communication” will be held in Kyiv for employees of state authorities and local self-government – it is organized by Oschadbank as part of the national program for the development of barrier-free culture, reported in KCSA.

Representatives of centers for administrative services, the pension fund, the employment service, the State Emergency Service, the migration service, and other institutions that work with people every day have been invited to the training.

During the two days, participants will learn:

  • the principles of state policy on barrier-free communication
  • the ethics of interacting with people with visual, hearing, mobility, and mental impairments
  • the specifics of communication with veterans.

A separate part is devoted to practical scenarios for servicing in public institutions.

The event is being implemented as part of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska’s program “Barrier-Free – When You Can” with the support of the President of Ukraine’s Commissioner for Barrier-Free Issues Tetiana Lomakina.

In KCSA, it was noted that Oschadbank is one of the leaders in the implementation of barrier-free communication among financial institutions: more than 750 branches of the bank meet state standards for physical accessibility, and mobile units operate for residents of remote and front-line territories.

After completing the training, its participants will share the knowledge they have gained with their colleagues in their institutions.
