Deputies of the Poltava City Council adopted a decision to ban Russian-language cultural products in public spaces of the city.
The restrictions will apply to transport, public catering and cultural establishments, trade areas, and other public spaces.
The ban includes the public use of Russian-language books, musical works, films, theatrical performances, concert programs, cultural and educational events, etc.
The decision was developed in connection with the need to protect the Ukrainian information space from hybrid influences of the aggressor state, which tries to prevent the strengthening of national identity and the preservation of national culture, traditions, customs, and historical memory.
