The Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation “Podillia” in Vinnytsia presented modern approaches to rehabilitation of people with visual impairments and wheelchair users.

Within the framework of the National Week of Accessibility, the center was visited by the First Lady Olena Zelenska and Deputy Minister of Social Policy Inna Solodka.

In 2025, 242 people underwent rehabilitation at the center – veterans, military personnel, civilians, and children.

Thanks to UNDP and the financial support of the Japanese government, the center has equipped areas for training in wheelchair use and spatial orientation.

Since 2023, the UNDP-developed rehabilitation model for people with visual impairments has been implemented at the center – 173 veterans and civilians have already undergone it.

The “Pottery in the Dark” project is operating at the center: people with visual impairments, including veterans, are learning pottery and acquiring new professional skills.

A digital skills cabinet is also functioning, where people with visual impairments are taught to work with computers using special programs.
