Ukrainian House of Photography announced an open competition for photographers who capture wars, conflicts, and their consequences.
The contest is held as part of the international forum IMPACT Kyiv, which will take place in Kyiv in October 2026. Participation is free.
Two categories are provided:
- documentary photography – pure documentary without artificial intelligence, montage, or manipulation;
- conceptual – metaphors, visual experiments, and vernacular photography, where artificial intelligence is also prohibited.
Each winner will receive a fee of 300 euros. Their projects will become part of the exhibitions within the IMPACT Kyiv War/Conflict Photography Forum, and all production costs will be covered by the organizers.
The exhibition will last from October 15 to November 7, 2026, in Kyiv.
The deadline for submitting applications is May 30, 2026.
The IMPACT Kyiv forum explores how wars and global changes transform photographic practice. It is organized by the Ukrainian House of Photography with the support of the Institut français d’Ukraine and the Embassy of France in Ukraine.
