In communities across Ukraine, 2,600 escort specialists for war veterans and demobilized persons are working, helping defenders, their families, and loved ones navigate government services and support programs, according to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.

Specialists escort veterans at different stages of returning to civilian life:

  • help with status and document registration;
  • receive social payments;
  • get medical services and rehabilitation;
  • learn about employment, education, and housing opportunities;
  • receive grant consultations.

Specialists also provide basic psychological support and help find veteran spaces and communities for communication and mutual support.

It is possible to find a specialist online through the “Veteran PRO” service in the “Diia” app. To do this, you need to:

  • go to the “Services” section;
  • open “Veteran PRO”;
  • select “Search for a specialist”;
  • indicate the region and community or the specialist’s full name.

In the app, the contacts and information about the institution where the specialist works are displayed.

After the consultation, users can leave feedback about the specialist’s work through the “Share your impressions” function.

Offline consultations on finding an escort specialist are provided by local veteran policy departments in communities.
