The government has allocated UAH 162.7 million from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression to complete 4 restoration projects in Zaporizhzhia and Cherkasy regions by 2026.
In previous years, these projects were already funded from the fund’s resources.
The funds will be used for the reconstruction of 3 multi-apartment residential buildings – 2 in Zaporizhzhia and 1 in Uman – and for the reconstruction of the therapeutic corps of the City Emergency and Emergency Medical Care Hospital in Zaporizhzhia.
All these facilities were damaged as a result of Russian shelling.
One of the largest projects is the reconstruction of a building on Zestafonska Street in Zaporizhzhia. After the Russian strike in October 2022, 2 entrances were completely destroyed. Currently, the building readiness is 85%, and after the completion of the work, 186 residents will be able to return to their homes.
The completion of the major repair of the building on Sobornyi Avenue in Zaporizhzhia, which was damaged by a Russian missile strike in 2023, will allow 60 more residents to return to their homes.
In the Cherkasy region, the reconstruction of a multi-apartment building in Uman will be completed, with a current readiness of 90% – 217 residents will receive housing.
The implementation of the four projects will restore 187 apartments and return housing to over 450 residents.
