In Kyiv, on May 22, 2026, the IV International Conference “Ukrainian Leadership in Assistance” will take place. The event will bring together top Ukrainian officials, UN leadership, foreign diplomats, and leaders of leading charitable foundations.

The conference will be held at the Kyiv International Convention Center “Parkovy”.

Organizers position it as the main platform of the year for the humanitarian sector and the state, where the transition from the format of emergency response to institutional subjectivity of Ukraine will be announced.

The central thesis of the event is the change of paradigm in the relations between Ukrainian civil society organizations and international institutions to equal partnership.

Discussions will focus on how the Ukrainian experience affects the global rules of the Grand Bargain.

Among the announced speakers are the Deputy Head of the Office of the President Iryna Vereshchuk, UN Deputy Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Tom Fletcher, Swiss Ambassador to Ukraine Felix Baumann, as well as UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Ukraine Matthias Schmale.

The program includes four panel discussions – on the role of the state as an ecosystem of resilience, the synergy of government, business, and civil society organizations on the eve of URC 2026, the reform of the global Humanitarian Reset, and the role of local funds and consortia.

Separately, the National Reference Group of Ukraine (NRG) will present its advocacy agenda for 2026 for the first time.

The conference will end with the awarding of the “Ambassador of Localization” award for the contribution to the development of the independence of the Ukrainian charitable sector.
