Russia launched 56 missiles and 675 drones on Ukraine overnight – one person killed and 32 injured

Key points

On the night of May 14, Russia launched 56 missiles and 675 drones at Ukraine, with hits reported in 24 locations, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The main direction of the attack was Kyiv. In the capital, one person was killed, and 32 were injured, including one child.

In a high-rise building in the Darnytskyi district, 18 apartments were destroyed, with structures collapsing – people may be trapped under the rubble.

Rescuers managed to pull 27 people from the rubble, and emergency rescue work is ongoing.

In the Obolonskyi district, debris fell on a parking building and a business center, damaging an apartment on the 12th floor of a residential building and hitting a 25-story unfinished building, with injuries reported.

In the Dniprovskyi district, a fire broke out on the roof of a five-story building, another five-story building was hit by a drone, a private house and garages were damaged.

In the Solomianskyi district, a parked car caught fire, in the Holosiivskyi district, debris fell on the roadway, and in the Sviatoshynskyi district, it fell on open terrain.

In the Kyiv region, as a result of Russian shelling, seven people were injured, including a child.

Damage is being reported in six districts of the region: Boryspil, Bucha, Fastiv, Obukhiv, Brovary, and Bila Tserkva.

In the Fastiv district, two people were injured, in the Boryspil district – five, including a child.

Private residential houses, apartments, outbuildings, and cars were damaged.

Rescuers and psychologists from the SES are working at the scenes, and information about the injured is being clarified.
