UNICEF Launches Major Support Campaign for Families in Frontline Areas of Ukraine for Winter Preparation 2024/2025
UNICEF is initiating a large-scale support campaign for families in frontline areas of Ukraine as part of preparations for the winter season 2024/2025. This initiative aims to assist over 33,000 families in six frontline regions, reaching 60,000 people, including 15,500 children.
The assistance will be provided in two forms:
- Material Aid: Fuel briquettes, hygiene kits, winter clothing for children up to 15 years old, blankets.
- Financial Support: For winter preparation.
The aid will be directed to communities in the following regions:
- Sumy Oblast: Bilopilsk, Khotynsk, Myropilsk, Krasnopilsk, Znob-Novhorodsk, Druzhbivsk, Yampilsk, Hlukhivsk, Svesk, Esmansk, Novoslobidsk, Yunakivsk, Vorozhbyansk, Shalyhinsk, Putyvlsk communities.
- Kharkiv Oblast: Bohodukhivsk, Borivsk, Derhachivsk, Kindrashivsk, Kupiansk, Kurylivsk, Malodanilivsk, Oskilsk, Starosaltivsk, Tsyrkunivsk, Velikoburlutsk, Vilkhivsk, Vilkhivatsk, Vovchansk, Zolochivsk communities.
- Donetsk Oblast: Pokrovsk, Myrnohradsk, Kostiantynivsk, Sviatohirsk, Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Druzhkivsk, Kurakhivsk, Novohrodivsk, Mykolayivsk communities.
- Dnipropetrovsk Oblast: Marganets and Nikopol communities.
- Zaporizhzhia Oblast: Komyshuvakha and Mykilska communities.
- Kherson Oblast: Novovorontsovka and Kherson communities.
This project aims to support the most vulnerable populations affected by the conflict and provide them with necessary resources for a safe winter. UNICEF continues to work on delivering critical aid amidst uncertainty and challenging humanitarian conditions.
