On May 12, 2026, thunderstorms with gusts of 15–20 m/s are expected in the Right Bank and Kyiv region, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
On the same day, significant rainfall will occur in Transcarpathia and the Carpathians. A Level 1 hazard warning – yellow – has been issued by meteorologists.
Meanwhile, an extreme level of fire danger is forecasted in several regions. In Kharkiv region, it will last from May 12 to 13, and in Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil regions from May 13 to 14.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center calls on citizens to follow safety rules and respond to meteorologists’ warnings.
