- The Ministry of Development has expanded its network of universities for training accessibility specialists – now such specialists will be trained in 12 universities.

The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine expanded the network of universities for training accessibility specialists – the Lutsk National Technical University joined the program, so now such specialists will be trained in 12 universities in Ukraine.
Earlier, 11 institutions of higher education were participants in the program:
- National University “Lviv Polytechnic”;
- Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture;
- Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy named after O.M. Beketov;
- National University “Chernihiv Polytechnic”;
- Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after S.Z. Gzhytsky;
- Cherkasy State Technological University;
- Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas;
- National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic”;
- Sumy National Agrarian University;
- National University “Kyiv Aviation Institute”;
- National University “Poltava Polytechnic named after Yuri Kondratyuk”.
Training will start in 2026 based on the Standard Educational Program for Advanced Training “Accessibility Specialist”, which the Ministry of Development approved in cooperation with specialized universities and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The program provides for at least 60 academic hours of theoretical and practical classes, study of legislation and international experience, examination of objects, and preparation of recommendations for improving accessibility.
The document defines uniform training standards, while allowing universities to adapt programs to their own educational approaches.
Experts who already have a bachelor’s degree in “Architecture and Urban Planning” or “Construction and Civil Engineering” will be able to undergo training.
After completing the course, listeners will receive a certificate of acquisition of competencies in the field of physical accessibility.
