From May 7, participants in the “National Cashback” program start receiving payments for March. Accruals will be received on the cards of almost 4.8 million users.
Together with the usual cashback for purchases, Ukrainians will receive compensation for fuel for the first time – it was introduced from March 20. More than 2 million people are eligible for the payment. Among them, 91% are owners of budget segment cars: cars aged 10 to 20 years with an engine up to 2.5 liters. The program covers gas stations across the country: over 220 gas station networks have joined it – from large national to small regional ones. The amount of compensation depends on the type of fuel: 15% – for diesel, 10% – for gasoline, 5% – for autogas. From May 1, the maximum amount of cashback for fuel is 500 UAH per month.
The March payment is also the first under the new differentiated model. Cashback is accrued at two rates depending on the category of goods. The increased rate – 15% – applies to Ukrainian-made goods in categories with a high share of imports: cosmetics, household chemicals, clothing, shoes, goods for home and repair, stationery, animal feed, as well as certain types of cheese, pasta and cereals. The basic rate – 5% – applies to food, pharmaceutical products, garden products. You can check the percentage for a specific product through the barcode scanner in the Diya application or on the “Made in Ukraine” portal.
The monthly limit of the program remains unchanged – 3,000 UAH. The accumulated cashback can be used to pay for utilities, purchase medicines and Ukrainian-made products, buy books, as well as for charity, including support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Over 22 retail networks and online platforms accept products for cashback – their list is posted on the “Made in Ukraine” portal.
To participate in the program, you need to open a payment card in a partner bank, connect the card for payment of purchases and give the bank permission to transfer transaction data, and then in the Diya application, select a card for cashback accrual. Funds are accrued exclusively for non-cash payments. They are not taxed, do not affect the appointment of subsidies and benefits, cannot be withdrawn in cash or transferred.
