The Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine has opened registration for the qualifying round of the All-Ukrainian sports competition ‘Veterans’ Games 2026’. The event will bring together participants from across the country — military personnel, male and female veterans, as well as male and female defenders who were discharged from service due to injuries, trauma or illness sustained whilst performing their combat duties.
The qualifying round will take place in Cherkasy at the end of May. On the 22nd, participants will compete in archery and table tennis, and on 23 May — in CrossFit. The three disciplines cover a wide range of physical fitness: from accuracy and coordination to endurance and functional strength. This allows veterans with different levels of experience and ability to take part.
Registration:
Registration for the competition is now open via separate online forms for each discipline and will remain open until 17 May inclusive. Participants who pass the selection process will join the national team to compete in the final of the ‘2026 Veterans Games’. Furthermore, based on the results of the competition, the Ukrainian national team will be formed to compete in the international Veterans Games UA, scheduled for September 2026 in Valencia, Spain.
