The ‘Right to Protection’ Charitable Foundation has announced a new microgrant competition for civil society organisations supporting populations affected by the war. Lot 2 of the competition focuses specifically on the veteran community—combatants, as well as family members of servicemen who have been killed in action or are missing in action.
The aim of the programme is to strengthen the capacity of local organisations to provide high-quality and accessible support services in communities where the effects of the war are felt most acutely. It is precisely these organisations that most often become the first point of support for veterans and their loved ones.
The amount of funding depends on the scale of the project: $50,000 or $100,000. Projects last between five and six months, with implementation scheduled to begin on 1 July 2026.
The call for proposals is part of a broader strategy to support local protection actors in wartime conditions. The programme is implemented in partnership with international donors and responds to the communities’ own requests for increased resources to work with vulnerable groups.
Applications are accepted in two stages. Concepts may be submitted by 20 May, and full application forms by 27 May 2026. Further details on the competition terms, selection criteria and schedule of information sessions can be found on the foundation’s website via the link.
