The “Brave to Rebuild” Charitable Foundation has launched the online navigator “Step by Step” for Kyiv residents and building managers affected by shelling.

The service explains how to act in the first minutes after a strike, where to seek help and how to properly document the damage.

A separate section is devoted to the procedure for compensation – where to apply, which documents to collect and how to submit applications for municipal assistance and the “eVidnovlennia” programme.

The platform also brings together a database of contacts of emergency and utility services, relevant departments of the Kyiv City State Administration and the city’s district administrations. The developers have also prepared a practical guide to temporarily sealing the thermal envelope – broken windows and doors.

The navigator is based on the experience of the “Brave to Rebuild” team, which has worked at more than 100 damaged sites in Kyiv since 2022. The city authorities, rescuers and civil society organisations also contributed to the development.

The project was implemented with the support of the “Askold and Dir” Foundation and funding from Norway and Sweden.
