Key points

Yurii Urban, a volunteer with the Ukrainian Red Cross rapid response team in Volyn Oblast, saved the lives of four people after his death – among them a one-year-old child. This was reported by the Ukrainian Red Cross.

For three years, he was part of a team that is the first to come to people’s aid – saving the lives of those affected by emergencies and providing comprehensive support to those in need.

Yurii died suddenly as a result of illness. His family consented to the posthumous donation of his organs – free of charge.

The volunteer’s organs were transplanted to four patients – among them a one-year-old child.
