Volunteer experience of URCS to form the basis of the new State Programme for the Development of Volunteer Activities

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) has contributed to the development of the State Programme for the Development of Volunteer Activities in Ukraine until 2030, which was recently approved by the Government.

Representatives of the URCS worked within a working group alongside state institutions and the civil society sector. The group’s task was to embed effective mechanisms for supporting and developing volunteering into the programme.

The experience of Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers represents thousands of practical cases of helping people in the most challenging circumstances. It can serve as the foundation for shaping effective solutions within the programme.
