Today, 1 May, the option to apply for housing funds for internally displaced persons (IDPs) from temporarily occupied territories (TOT) under the eVidnovlennya programme has opened, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko announced.

The service is available to Ukrainians who hold combatant status or have a disability resulting from the war and were forced to leave their homes due to Russian aggression.

At this stage, a housing voucher worth UAH 2 million will be available to 3,300 families. Applications for funding can be submitted via Diia.

The availability of funding is verified by the programme’s operator, Ukrposhta. If funds are available, the applicant will receive confirmation of a successful application within five days.

The voucher can be used to buy a flat or house, invest in construction or pay off a mortgage. The option is available only to recipients whose applications have already been approved by the commissions.

Sixty days are allotted for concluding the housing purchase agreement with any notary. If the requested funds are not used, they are returned to the operator’s account and allocated to the next applicants in the queue.
