Emergency assistance: The organization supplies medical equipment and medicines, and provides aid during emergencies and natural disasters. Improving living and sanitary conditions: WHO works on improving nutrition, sanitation, housing, and working conditions to enhance overall health. Strengthening health systems: WHO supports the development of public health systems, promotes universal health coverage (UHC), and addresses non-communicable diseases. Support for national immunization systems: The organization aids in developing vaccination programs, planning, and monitoring vaccine delivery processes. History

The World Health Organization (WHO) was established in 1948 with the goal of achieving the highest possible level of health for all people. WHO works with member states, provides technical support, sets global norms and standards, and responds to health emergencies.
In Ukraine, WHO began its operations in June 1994 with the establishment of an office in Kyiv. The primary aim of this office is to support the sustainable development of the health system in Ukraine through technical expertise, policy dialogues, adaptation of global norms, and emergency assistance.
