The government has changed the rules for participating in the national Health Screening 40+ programme. The updates will come into effect after technical work on the Diia app and portal is completed, the Ministry of Health has announced.
The main change is the removal of the link to the applicant’s date of birth.
Previously, an application could only be submitted 30 calendar days after one’s birthday. Now Ukrainians aged 40 and over will be able to apply at any time that suits them – through Diia or at an Administrative Service Centre.
The deadlines for using the funds have also been revised.
Once the money is credited to a dedicated account, participants will have two months to pay for an examination at a medical facility taking part in the programme. If the funds are not used within that period, they will automatically be returned to the state budget.
Those who received support payments earlier will be able to use them within two months of the changes coming into force – that is, by the end of June this year.
