Another Russian attack took place in Odesa overnight, killing two people and injuring a further 14. Residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were hit. Rescue workers, medics and volunteers were working at the sites of the destruction.
The Ukrainian Red Cross rapid response team in the Odesa region joined the clean-up efforts immediately after the attack ended. Volunteers, together with rescue workers, surveyed the damaged buildings and surrounding areas, assessed residents’ needs and provided assistance to those left without support.





Whilst working at the site of the strike, volunteers provided first aid to six casualties. One injured person was taken to hospital for further treatment. First psychological aid was also provided to residents who had survived the shelling, particularly those experiencing acute stress reactions.
Separately, the team supplied water to emergency services personnel who were continuing to clear rubble and carry out rescue operations.
The Ukrainian Red Cross is currently distributing humanitarian aid to affected residents of Odesa. People are being provided with essential supplies following the night-time attack.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged as a result of the strike. Work is ongoing at the site to deal with the aftermath of the shelling.
